For many of us, SAE was an important part of our Penn experience. Whatever your key takeaways from your time at Penn, I think we can all agree on this: SAE’s impact extends far beyond our brief time at the chapter house.
Here are 5 reasons SAE still matters after you graduate, according to your fellow Alumni Brothers:
“The Brotherhood/friendships that I carry with me to this very day. I’m still super tight with a half-dozen guy and communicate with another dozen beyond that. I still take the Russell P. Heuer trail walking from Smoke’s to the house and hit the lamp post along the way. Try to do it anytime am back.” – Enrique Abeyta ’95
“The fraternity gave me an oasis — a manageable, comfortable group of friends and a sense of belonging in the vastness of a large university and a major city. Collectively, there were so many great restaurants from the former white-tablecloth Deux Chiminees for fancy dinner to Pat’s cheesesteaks in the middle of the night.” – Tom Robinson ’72
“As an alum, the most valuable part of the SAE experience is having a house to come home to.” – Mike Schaedle ’89
“Brotherhood and community…I still meet SAE alums today from other schools and have an immediate bond and common interest.” – Dan Povia ’80
“Penn basketball with fellow SAE brothers! Love college hoops!” – Shawn Bleam ’91
